Clay may seem like a soft material, but it is highly demanding: it is both abrasive and quite sticky. This coating addresses both challenges by extending edge life and improving cutting performance.

The product includes a custom soft case for convenient storage of the tool. The case is marked with the model name so you know which tool goes inside, for efficient use in the workshop:

-Works with porcelain or stoneware?
Yes, no problem. 

-Cleaning?
Rinse under warm water, use a nylon brush if clay builds up, then dry thoroughly.

TIPS for making better handles in clay:

-Wet the blade of the tool in water before using it, as this will help it glide more smoothly and make the process easier.

-The hardness of the clay important. Use it on moist clay, but not when it is too wet or sticky. That way, the clay handle you want to create (or the clay strip for any other use) will come out with a better finish.

-After cutting the clay strip, do I pull it out of the lump with my nails or fingers? You can, but the tool is intentionally designed with a flat, shaped end on the back of the handle. This makes it easier to lift and remove the strip, especially when it is sticking to the clay.
