FAQs – Manual Diamond Abrasives

1) When is it better to use manual diamond abrasives instead of the wheel?
They are ideal for touching up rims, curved areas, interiors, details, or pieces that cannot be worked on the wheel.

2) What is the advantage of the Velcro backing?
Velcro makes it quick and easy to switch grits, allowing for a smooth, continuous workflow. It also means one sanding block is enough instead of having several: when a sheet wears out, you can simply buy a replacement for the same block.

3) Can they be used on hard glazes?
Yes.

4) Do they provide an even finish when sanding by hand?
Yes. Diamond helps maintain a consistent cut even when working manually.

5) Is it better to work dry or with water?
Because they are diamond abrasives, they can also be used dry, but wet sanding reduces dust and improves the feeling of control, especially with finer grits.
