Diamond sanding sheets for pottery feature a Velcro backing so they can be attached to our soft rubber sanding block. However, we have selected a fabric that is soft to the touch, allowing those who prefer to use the diamond sheets directly with their fingers to do so — without the need for a sanding block.

Ultra-Fine Grit

This diamond sheet features an ultra-fine grit, ideal for extra-fine polishing.

One option is to combine it with other sheets of different grit sizes. You would first use a coarser grit and then finish with this one to achieve a smooth and refined surface finish.

It is recommended to slightly moisten the ceramic piece with water to improve sanding performance and extend the life of the sheet. However, since it is diamond, it can also polish perfectly well when used dry and on all types of clay bodies (stoneware, porcelain…), including high-fired pieces and hard glazes.
